Hi. I'm a mid-forties guy looking for someone to lead me into the world of CD/TV/TS delights. You could say I'm a bit of a geek... I love sci-fi and a good superhero movie. I also really enjoy getting lost in a good book. Something along the lines of LOTR or g Of Ice And Fire. I enjoy music and my tastes are broad. Beethoven and Mozart, Eagles and Heart, Iron Maiden, Metallica and Def Leppard... that's just a small sample of what I listen to. By no means a "gym-junkie", but I do try to keep myself in shape. I hit the gym three times a week (or at least, I try to...) and do one upper body session, one lower body session and one of cardio. Starting to see some progress but I don't want to take it to ridiculous extremes. A self-confessed medievalist, I have a passion for the period usually described as the "Dark Ages". I prefer the term "Early Medieval", as 'dark ages' implies brutish and barbaric. There was a definite interest in scholarship, with Alfred the Great promoting learning for all. I've even gone so far as to set up a profile on Facebook that I use as a place to express my Saxon ancestry. You should see the confusion that follows a post in Old English... This medievalist streak has led me to collecting weapons from that era. So far, I have three swords, a dagger (all legal, thanks to my collector's permit), a bow and a decent amount of body armor. I ended an eight year relationship in 2012, and have been spending time getting reacquainted with myself. I've done some deep soul-searching and decided that the world is too interesting to limit my experiences to what I've been comfortable with in the past. Oh, and as far as my photos are concerned... I'm not a big fan of the "selfie". If the opportunuity arises to upload more photos, I'll take it. I just have to find some halfway decent ones...

My Ideal Person Being bi-curious, my ideal person would be someone who understands that I want to learn at an easy pace. I'm not likely to go charging in like a bull at a gate.
