I was driving to one of my favorite "I need more tools" store when I passed up a gas station selling regular for a $ 1.79 p/gal.
Man I hope these prices last for awhile my chevy 3/4 ton truck just loves gas.

So in today's news there was an article about dumb laws.

In the state of Alabama it is illegal to buy a dildo, vibrator etc..
.
In some town in Georgia you need a doctors prescription to purchase these things. Now what illness do you have where the doc says take two of these and call me in the morning.

I was inside our stadium the other day and its a freakin mess.
.
Its going to be interesting watching the fiasco as we get closer to Aug 24th and our first preseason game. Maybe they could play it in Pittsburgh ha ha.

Seriously this is going to be interesting watching it happen (or not).

Just gotta love being in the construction industry anymore, 2 more years to go then bye bye to projects screwed up by people who have never used a hammer.

It's a Bad Day
I awoke early this morning, cracking open one eye I scanned the room first to figure out which direction I ended up and secondly to know which way to look to see the bedroom window. Hoping to see the light of a new day I was glum to see darkness, grasping the pillow and clenching it over my head making a feeble attempt to return to dreamland.
Tap tap on the shoulder "not so fast there buddy" my brain says "I've been up all night working and I need someone to talk to". Admitting defeat I get up and head down the stairs passing thru the kitchen a glance at the clock on the wall reveals what I dread 1:30 AM "great 5 hours to kill and he wants to talk".
"it's a bad day today" he says "a bad day indeed"
As I sit there in the dark thinking about the day ahead it reminded me that I have sat and thought about bad days before and how to deal with them. See I had one particularly bad day some 25 or so years ago which I still consider the worst day of my life and I remember thinking I would just wave a magic wand and erase this day from my memory. But then I realized you can't always do that because in doing so you might also be erasing the people around you that particular bad day.
You see if I erased that day.....
There would not be those three little girls I would watch grow up and start families of there own.
There would not be a brother in law that I would look up to as the big brother I did not have.
A mother to share her thoughts on life.
A father to pass a trade on to me that I would use to create my own way of life.
And on this day I have to bury a friend that I have known for almost forty years, a guy of about a dozen of us that have remained close all these years sharing things we learn to make life better, birthdays, holidays, picnics with all the families together.
I remember coming to the conclusion that I would willingly re-live those bad days knowing that I have enjoyed hundreds and hundreds of good days because of those people.
Make sure you keep racking up all the goods days you can because its how we get thru the bad day that eventually comes.

I have the fortunate circumstance of having a body that has"nt changed much over 35 years.
Yeah the skin is alittle tougher after years of sun.
And the joints squeak and click going round the corner
And just like an old truck trying to climb up a hill jumping up after kneeling on floor well let"s just say it happens a little slower.
